Time to Become EPiC

The results of good delegation

E

Efficient: Less wasted motion — the business runs on fewer, better-placed hours.

P

Productive: Time and resources reliably convert into finished, useful output.

I

Impactful: Effort concentrates where it actually moves the business forward.

C

Consistent: Results show up on a predictable basis, not only when the owner pushes hardest.

Purpose

EPiC represents the four characteristics of a better business: one that operates efficiently, turns time and resources into productive action, focuses effort where it creates the greatest impact, and consistently delivers results.

Building an EPiC business isn’t about simply doing more. It’s about bringing together the right people, delegation, systems, technology, and leadership so the business performs better without everything depending on the owner. The BeeEPiC frameworks are ultimately designed to help business owners become more Efficient, Productive, Impactful and Consistent.

It’s time to Become EPiC.

Good As GOLD

A Simple Framework for Identifying What to Delegate

G

Good at Doing: Work you're genuinely strong at: a candidate for staying on your plate.

O

OK at Doing: Neither a strength nor a passion, often the easiest to hand off first.

L

Like Doing: You enjoy it even if it's not your strongest skill, worth keeping for now.

D

Resisting Important Work: You can do it well, but it drains you. A prime candidate to delegate.

Purpose

Good As GOLD helps business owners make smarter decisions about what to keep doing and what to delegate. Using a simple 2×2 grid, tasks are evaluated based on whether you’re Good or OK at doing them, and whether you Like or Dislike doing them.

The framework helps identify work that deserves your time and strengths, while revealing tasks that may be better handled by someone else. Instead of delegating randomly, Good As GOLD provides a practical starting point for deciding where your time is best spent.

Know what to keep. Know what to delegate. Be Good As GOLD.

MORBID Work Kills Passion

Work That Kills Consistency & Passion

M

Mundane Work: Low-stimulation tasks that drain energy without demanding much thought.

O

Outside Your Skill Set: Work you're not naturally equipped to do well.

R

Repetitive Tasks: The same action, over and over, with little variation.

B

Busy Work: Activity that fills time without producing meaningful results.

I

"I Don't Wanna Do" Tasks: The things you keep pushing to tomorrow because you simply don't want to.

D

Draining & Difficult Work: Tasks that cost more energy than they're worth to do yourself.

Purpose

MORBID represents the types of work that can slowly kill an entrepreneur’s passion and consistency: mundane work, tasks outside their skill set, repetitive tasks, busy work, the work they simply don’t want to do, and activities they find draining or difficult.

MORBID helps business owners recognize that not all work deserves their personal time and attention. By identifying these tasks, entrepreneurs can make wiser decisions about what to delegate, creating more capacity for the work they enjoy, do well, and that creates greater value.

Identify the MORBID work. Delegate it. Get your passion back.

It provides a practical framework for setting expectations, conducting performance reviews, recognizing strengths, and identifying opportunities for growth.

By regularly reviewing these eleven areas, business owners and remote workers create greater clarity, accountability, continuous improvement, and stronger working relationships. The goal isn’t simply to complete tasks, but to develop reliable, high-performing team members who consistently create value for the business.

Review performance. Improve continuously. Master the OUTSOURCING principles.

Beaware the STINGS

Diagnosing Performance Challenges

S

System Deficiencies: The processes around the work are unclear or missing.

T

Training Deficiencies: The person was never properly shown how to do the work.

I

Inconsistent Communication: Expectations shift or arrive too late to act on.

N

Neglecting Empathy: Leadership overlooks the human context behind the work.

G

Guidance Deficiencies: Direction is too vague to act on with confidence.

S

Support Deficiencies: The team member lacks the resources or backup they need to succeed.

Purpose

Beware the STINGS helps business owners identify leadership and management problems that can contribute to poor remote worker performance. When a VA, EA, or Overseas Team Member is struggling, the problem isn’t always the person. Sometimes the working environment, systems, expectations, or support are contributing to the challenge.

STINGS helps leaders examine system deficiencies, training deficiencies, inconsistent communication, neglected empathy, guidance deficiencies, and support deficiencies before blaming or replacing a team member. It encourages leaders to diagnose what is really causing the performance problem.

Identify the cause. Remove the STINGS. Improve performance.

11 / 12

RESET Performance

The Course Correction Framework

R

Review What's Not Working: Name the specific gap between expected and actual performance.

E

Evaluate the STINGS: Check whether systems, training, or support are contributing to the issue.

S

Solutions: Agree on concrete changes both sides commit to.

E

Execute the Plan: Put the agreed changes into action.

T

Track Progress: Check results against the plan on a set schedule.

Purpose

RESET Performance provides a practical course-correction process when a Virtual Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Overseas Team Member is not meeting expectations. Rather than allowing performance problems to continue or immediately replacing someone, RESET helps clients understand what is going wrong and create a clear path forward.

The framework guides leaders to identify the performance issue, diagnose the underlying STINGS, agree on solutions, execute an improvement plan, and track results. It creates an opportunity to restore performance while providing clarity when a different team member may ultimately be needed.

Diagnose the problem. Course correct. RESET Performance.

FLAG Warning

2-Warning Dismissal Protocol

F

Failure to Perform: Work consistently falls short of the agreed standard.

L

Lying & Misinformation: Dishonesty in verbal, written, or timesheet reporting.

A

Attitude & Attendance: Conduct or reliability issues that disrupt the work.

G

Gross Negligence: Serious carelessness that puts the business at risk.

Purpose

FLAG provides clients with a clear and consistent process for addressing recurring performance, conduct, attendance, and integrity issues. The goal is to address problems early, communicate expectations clearly, and provide an appropriate opportunity for improvement.

🟨 1st Offense – Yellow Flag
Formal warning, clarification of the issue, expectations, and required corrective action.

🟧 2nd Offense – Orange Flag
Final warning with clear expectations and consequences if the issue continues.

🟥 3rd Offense – Red Flag
Dismissal when the issue has not been satisfactorily corrected.

Serious incidents involving dishonesty, falsification of timesheets, gross negligence, misconduct, or significant breaches of trust may warrant immediate or accelerated action rather than progressing through all warning stages.

Two warnings. Clear expectations. Then a decision.

Better Frameworks. Better Delegation. Better Results.

Hiring the right person is only the beginning. Build a delegation system that helps you reclaim time, strengthen your team and achieve more.
